It’s the start of another month, which means yet another review of another month of comping! For those of you that are new to the blog I’m a comper. You can read more about my comping and why I do it here. But the short story is that after having to quit work due to keep up with my sons additional needs I needed to find something that meant we could still afford the nicer things in life!
I’m having a slight change up of my monthly winning posts. Starting with this one! From now onwards you’ll be seeing the prizes I unboxed this month. This was I can actually share pictures of all my prizes as I will have already received them. It also means I can finally tie this in with a unboxing video!
So it’s your choice, for those that prefer watching videos, here it is below this paragraph. For those that prefer reading about wins then scroll past the video and ready my usual blog post! If you watch the video you’ll soon discover why I’ve put of filming for so long. I also apologise for forgetting lots of information!
A quieter month
September was a quieter month than previous when just taking prizes that I physically unboxed. That being said a lot of the prizes were super useful and I’ve even started getting my first lot of Christmas present wins come in.
Bronnley Roller Ball perfumes
These were featured in last months post (as they were won the month before) but I received them this month. This was a simple RT to win via Bronnley on Facebook. These are going to be stocking fillers!
Ben 10 Deluxe Omnitrix
Another christmas present won! This fab toy was won from a UKMumsTV twitter party. My top tips for their twitter parties is to try and RT the competition posts toward the end of their closing time. Don’t leave it too late though as they end quickly. I make sure I never miss one by having ALL tweet notifications turned on for them. Yes i get a lot of notifications but for me it’s worth it.
Forgotten Dead Book
Princess Leia pencil case
Not strictly my win but Mr Glam & Geeky’s. I was tagged by my friend Francesca, i tagged my husband who then won. It was a simple like and comment on Maped Helix Facebook page. We love Star Wars and were super excited to win this as the pencil cases are limited edition.
Our choice of Star Wars costume
Rubies on Instagram were giving away a total of 10 kids Star Wars costumes. They were given away over their various social media channels. I entered with a like and comment on Instagram. It was very low entry (around 30 entries I think) and 3 winners directly from Instagram! I picked this fab X Wing fighter costume for Chase
Eyeko Sports Mascara
You can never had too much mascara. FACT. I spotted this posted by comping friend Di Coke. It was a simple web entry form with 500 mascaras available.
Nuby Miracle Bowl
I won this fab little bowl from Nuby on Instagram. Again just a simple like and comment. It’s called a miracle bowl because it suction cups to the table so your child cannot knock it over. Harper had an argument with the bowl…
Sip and Sound Straws
These great little straws were one from Busy Time magazine by sending in their entry form. Chase thinks they’re great, he can only drink from a straw so he’s really pleased to have straw that ‘Neighs’ when he drinks from it.
£50 B&Q voucher
I won this direct on B&Qs Facebook page by sharing a picture of my shed. B&Q wanted pictures of your amazingly painted sheds. I entered the first week with no luck but then spotted it was on for a second week. I entered with a slightly different photo and was judged as one of the winners! My shed also featured on B&Qs Instagram story. I love that I actually paid for the shed and the paint for it with a B&Q voucher that I won off the radio a few months ago. The new voucher is going towards new flooring in our hallway.
A Box of Transform a snack
This was a runners up prize from Golden Wonders Facebook page. To enter you had to write a story about Captain Crunch that featured yourself. It was a judged competition, the main prize was a £1k tech bundle and there were 10 runners up prizes of your choice of crisps.
Another win that was featured last month but is appearing here again as I only received it this month
Kickers Kids Playground Set
This was an effort competition that was advertised on the Super Lucky blog. This was a really fun effort entry where you had to instagram a picture of either your favorite toy school or one of your childs current favorite toys. I shared a picture of my kids Tomy eggs which have been played with to death and Chase still sometimes takes them to school as he hides them in his wheelchair. It was a random draw but there was a huge number of prizes to win so chances of winning were very high. I am claiming the virtual pet for my own!
Rig600 Gamers Headset
Yesssss! I actually shouted when I won this. Games Radar on Twitter had several of these up for grabs with a RT to win competition. We are big gamers and I haven’t had a new headset for ages so I was really chuffed to win this.
Mornflakes, Hessian bag and a Sophie Allport mug which I cannot find for the life of me
This was a lovely win from Change 4 Life Facebook page. You had to like and comment with a picture of a healthy breakfast or a screenshot of your scanned breakfast from their app. I submitted a photo of one of my healthy breakfasts. There were 10 prizes up for grabs and winners were randomly selected. I can’t find my Sophie Allport mug for my picture. God knows where’s it ended up…
Well that’s it for another month. If you haven’t seen my post prior to this then make sure you check out the result of one of my best effort competitions wins here.
I’ve had some fab notification of wins that haven’t arrived yet so look out for those next month. Follow me on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram to keep up to date with the blog or simply to see what competitions I’m entering!
Also remember it’s October so there will be loads of fab Halloween competitions coming up. If you don’t already have any pictures you could use I’d advise taking benefit of the fact the shops have started getting pumpkins in already and get some pics ready for the 31st of October.
