Welcome back everyone to March’s unboxing! For those of you that are new to the blog I’m a comper.  You can read more about my comping and why I do it by clicking the link.  But the short story is that after having to quit work due to keep up with my sons additional needs I needed to find something that meant we could still afford the nicer things in life.

I unboxed a lot more than I was expecting this month, I’ve really dialled back the comping and other than entering a few off the hoof so to speak competitions I spotted whilst browsing social media, the only real comps I entered this month was Pancake Day, World Book Day, a handful of creative/effort competitions and a last minute splurge on competition database twice.

Pancake Day

I really didn’t have any time to make new pancakes this year so I recycled some of my old entries. Surprisingly there was very few pancake day competitions this month compared to previous years. Rather unsurprisingly I didn’t win a single one.

World Book Day

I had such a massive success with WBD competitions this year. At the time of writing this I had a total of 9 WBD, the vast majority of which were judged rather than random draws. My daughter actually wore the same costume as last year, however I set Chase up with a Mad Hatter’s Tea Party costume to compliment my daughter’s Alice in Wonderland. Not only did they win some fabulous books (and other things!) for themselves but they’ve also had enough delivered to sort out some donations for their school libraries too.

This month’s unboxing stats sees 13 prizes opened worth approximately £446.  That’s a 2 prizes more than February and £430 less in value, not bad considering I entered a far far smaller number of competitions than I usually do. However I did win a rather big prize this month, I think value wise my biggest yet but it didn’t arrive in time for this months unboxing.

Most of my prizes came from Twitter this month with a few from Instagram and Facebook. Over half of my wins were from judged photo entries (thanks WBD!)

Check out the video below to see exactly what we won and how we won it, no prize list this month I’m mega busy with packing and will be shortly losing my internet connection…..NOOOOOOOOO

After so many setbacks with our house move it’s finally confirmed that we will 100% be moving this month – but we will be without internet for a period of time. I expect April to be another quiet month entry wise but again I will try to focus on a few creatives to keep me going.

Still high on my wish list is trying to win a family holiday – or at the very least try and win some items that are normally necessary purchases for us so I can save some money to pay for a family holiday instead.

How was your March, What’s high on your wish list this month? Good Luck for April!

Trying to win a family holiday – absolutely, travel comps are the only ones we play for! Even a 3 night hut or mobile home trip would be a treat if it’s free!
