Welcome back everyone to the first Unboxing post of the New Year! It’s been the weirdest month ever comping wise.   For those of you that are new to the blog I’m a comper.  You can read more about my comping and why I do it by clicking the link.  But the short story is that after having to quit work due to keep up with my sons additional needs I needed to find something that meant we could still afford the nicer things in life.

We’ve had a month of everyone taking it in turns to be unwell with Chase having an absolutely terrible bout of illness at one point. As a result I wasn’t able to enter as many competitions as I wanted and spent the month focussed on easy to enter social media and web entry competitions – which are the harder type of comps to win these days! Prize wise we were awfully quiet until the middle of the month and then I finally started seeing some wins roll in.

In the middle of all of the stress of illnesses I took the day to have a much needed spa break at Champneys which I won back in October thanks to Deichmann. It was a much needed break away from from everything and it’s always lovely to have prizes like this to take, I really do love prizes that allow us to do things we wouldn’t normally do.

Yet again a lot of time this month has been wasted chasing prizes, two of which I have full up decided to give up on. Sometimes the prize just isn’t worth the hassle – especially when you’re close to burning out from caring for others!

This month’s unboxing stats sees 11 prizes opened worth approximately £880.  That’s a 1 prizes less than January and almost £500 more in value.

I actually had a nice mix of prize wins across social media platforms, although Instagram prizes this month had the slight edge.

Check out the video below to see exactly what we won and how we won it, or for those of you that prefer to read scroll down for this months prize list!

In no particular order this months unboxing features…

  • A HUGE Neon sign (can’t wait to get this up!)
  • 3 pairs of kids fluffy earmuffs
  • An insulated glove scraper
  • A ‘cheeky’ Valentines hamper and personalised card
  • A Fortnums and Mason Valentines hamper
  • A bundle of bath and body products
  • A coffee warmer
  • VIP tickets to Showmasters Comiccon (YESSSSSS)
  • A Julia Donaldson book
  • £200 of Love2Shop vouchers!

Had such a lovely win of luck in the second half of the month – and even better there are still some really nice prizes to arrive in March!

I shall be scaling back my comping in March, we’re soon to be moving house and apart from the technicalities of not having another address I can send any prize wins to a lot of my free time is going to be spent getting the house ready for the move.

This doesn’t mean I won’t be entering any competitions though. With World Book Day and Pancake Day coming around quickly I’ve decided to focus on a few creatives and also trying to win us a holiday for this year – a difficult task when you need to take 5 kids and the need for accessibility but I’m going to see what I can do!

How was your February? Wishing you all lots of luck for March!

Good luck with the house move – don’t envy you the packing and sorting 😬

It’s my 6th house move in 10 years – so I’m pretty accustomed to it but now there’s 3 kids there’s even more stuff to move! Having a massive declutter before we go to make it easier as we’re doing the move ourselves with our van 😅
