It’s the last day of the year which means it’s the end of December and time for a comping round up.
For those of you that are new to the blog I’m a comper. You can read more about my comping and why I do it by clicking the link. But the short story is that after having to quit work due to keep up with my sons additional needs I needed to find something that meant we could still afford the nicer things in life.
I’ve been so busy recently that last month I didn’t even publish a blog post but did still manage to release my unboxing video on Youtube. This month not only am I getting round to writing a blog post but I’ve also had time to breakdown all of the prizes I won this year in my annual comping round up.
December was a blur! I think in total I won about 8 advents (not yet all delivered) and the rest of my prizes were all from non advents – but due to the huge number of general christmas competitions most were Christmas themed.
I’ll admit my time spent comping easily doubled in December, it’s the one time of year that there are an abundance of competitions and usually for high value prizes too. Early on in the advents I filtered out those that I knew wouldn’t offer me prizes I would necessarily like but still kept tabs on them – because on their 12th or 24th day they usually always offer an amazing prize.
So next year see the start of a new comping year! My 2019 comping review is now live with my usual colourful infographic with pie charts and bar graphs, plus look out in the new year for some new hints and tips comping posts coming your way.
I hope you all had a very successful December and can’t wait to start a new year fresh! Last year I vowed to sort out my online photo storage as part of my comping resolution – I made some headway but it’s still really messy and needs addressing.
I’ll be creating a new wishlist in January as well as updating bookmarks and making myself a daily comping task list to maximise the amount of competitions I can find whilst allowing myself time for life outside of comping. What are your comping new year resolutions?
